  1. ASTARTE M. Pack 2.1 - The professional MPEG-Compression Software

  4. ASTARTE M. Pack works on any Power Mac or 100% compatible
  5. system with 16MB of available RAM. The required data source 
  6. is a QuickTime movie. The minimum and maximum video
  7. resolutions that can be compressed are 96x96 and 384x288 pixels
  8. respectivly.
  9.  
  10. System Requirements:
  11. - Apple Power Mac (no 68K Machines)
  12. - System 7.5 or later
  13. - QuickTime 2.5 or later
  14. - Thread Manager
  15. - 16 MB free RAM

  17. Installation:
  18. -Simply drag the ASTARTE M. Pack folder onto your hard disk
  19.

  21. New since version 1.x.x:
  22.  - 20-25% faster
  23.  - Multiple so called "encoders" can be placed within the work space, each
  24.    of which contains specific encoding settings for MPEG compression, the 
  25.    input material in the form of QuickTime movies and the location to save
  26.    the encoded data. The settings can be changed to suit indiviual requirments.
  27.    The use of stationery pads means you always have a legal set of 
  28.    MPEG setting upon which to make your customisation. 
  29.  - You may combine croping and scaling to select any section of the QuickTime
  30.    movie to be encoded.
  31.  - MPEG stills for CD-Extra can now be generated from PICT files
